AbZOOlutely Auction

The AbZOOlutely animals are going to be auctioned off to raise money for the Philadelphia Zoo and the local community. Each animal is a work of art by a well-known artist or world-class architectural firm. Be the first on your block to have your own AbZOOlutely fabulous painted animal! They are cute; they are fun; and they are works of art.

All the animals are house trained, so they make wonderful house pets. They are relatively light weight so they can be placed in your home with ease.

The animals also have been clear-coated so that they can live outside. The concrete base for each animal will be available to the winning bidder for secure placement in your yard.

On November 18th, at Chestnut Hill College, we will hold our Animal Auction and Wild Party!. Beginning at 6:30 there will be a preview of the animals, followed at 8:00 by a live auction of all the AbZOOlutely animals (other than Chestnut Phil, who will be raffled off after the auction finishes). The party will be wild and to crown off the evening you will have your chance to take home a duck, tiger, pig, elephant or any of the other animals.

Details

• High bid, either on the floor or an absentee bid, will win the animal
• A modest reserve price will be set for each animal
• There is no buyer's premium
• The order of the auction is to be determined by a random draw
• A concrete base for each animal will be available to the winner
• The winner is responsible to pick up the animal, though delivery can be arranged at an extra cost

Bidders need not be present at the live auction to win. Bids can be left with the AbZOOlutely staff up until 5:00 pm on November 17.
