Garden Festival, May 7, 2006

On a beautiful spring day in May, some of the AbZOOlutely animals made their first public appearance, including our wonderfully decorated giraffe. The giraffe, which was painted by Kathleen Scott Gallagher (who donated her talents), is a sample of how the currently "naked" animals will be dressed up with bright colors and imaginative designs by the talented group of artists who have joined us in AbZOOLutely Chestnut Hill.

Everyone--from toddlers to seniors--enjoyed viewing the menagerie exhibited and our giraffe earned rave reviews by festival patrons. Unlike the other animals, which will be auctioned off on November 18, 2006, the giraffe will be given away to the winner of our raffle, to be drawn the night of the gala auction. Tickets are $10 per chance, or three chances for $25.
